An engineering background
Dane’s technical work began with programming and automation. It developed through structural steel estimating, airline software and the systems businesses rely on every day.
At a structural steel company, Dane wrote spreadsheet macros to reduce repetitive estimating work. The starting point was a familiar one: a slow manual process with room for better logic.
In aviation, his work expanded into connectivity between carriers, cargo tracking, aircraft maintenance tools and airport display systems. Disconnected infrastructure made the need for usable, timely information clear.
After leaving the aviation software company he had built, Dane began working with businesses on their credibility and positioning. Rebuilding how a company appeared online also required rebuilding the technology underneath it.
Why Division VII exists
Dane’s personal practice addresses identity, positioning and business performance. Division VII builds and operates the technical systems that make that work possible.
The work has included internal tools, data integrations, kiosks, advertising displays, RFID systems, mobile and web applications, and cloud infrastructure. It has also extended into cybersecurity and the technical work behind online reputation repair.
